Here you will find everything you need to know about occupational health within UK policing. This includes our police occupational health practitioner network and member page that contains up to date information, the good practice hub, and meeting summaries.

Our self care campaign has lots of resources which you can use locally to raise awareness of mental health, the signs of burnout, secondary trauma and tips on how to look after yourself.
- How do I get guidance on challenging subjects including self harm and suicide?
We have worked with the Samaritans to offer a series of five webinars. We hope that by openly talking about these subjects we can help to raise awareness, reduce stigma and give you the tools to sensitively manage any connected issues locally.
- How do I switch off to get better sleep?
We have teamed up with The Sleep Scientist Dr Sophie Bostock, to create a 'Better Sleep Toolkit' aimed at supporting police officers, staff, and volunteers with fatigue and sleep problems. In this toolkit, you will find our four week better sleep online course, a series of webinars and some bite sized advice to help you improve your sleep.
- Can what I eat make a difference to how I feel at work, especially when working shifts?
In our 'Nutrition for Wellbeing' section you'll find lots of video content, recipes, guidance and quick fixes on how eating better can improve your energy, wellbeing and help you to focus more clearly. We even have a five day meal planner for shift workers and a sugar solution challenge you can take part in.
