Clinical governance group

The clinical governance group (CGG) has been established to lead and oversee clinical interventions that support the police wellbeing agenda.

The CGG will set the strategic direction for, and deliver priorities in relation to, medical and occupational health policy and standards.

The CGG is concerned with systems change. It delivers its objectives through the following workstreams.

Medical standards for recruits

This working group is currently developing a national programme to ensure all 43 Home Office police forces are provided with clear standards for clinical and occupational health decision-making when carrying out fitness assessments of new recruits.
