Since we launched the original Oscar Kilo website back in 2016, our offer has continued to grow and change - so it was important to us to make sure that our online home and access point into the service grew with it.

We’ve done lots of work behind the scenes, speaking with many of our users to make sure that we developed a site that is more responsive, easier to navigate and ready for lots of new, exciting features now and in the future.

So, what’s new?

Everything you have come to know, and love is all still there – just improved and hopefully easier to use.

  • We’ve created a new layout and search function so that you can access things more quickly and find what you need.

  • We have refined and improved the look and feel of the Blue Light Wellbeing Framework (BLWF) and MindFit Cop.

  • We’ve improved the wellbeing van booking system – so you can book a van for your force and access video tours and more information about all of our different vans.

  • New events booking system – so you can register for workshops and events more easily.

  • A live calendar of Oscar Kilo work so you can see what’s coming up and available for you to access.

  • A new monthly bulletin embedded into the website, so information is easier and quicker to find, rather than buried in your email inbox.

A new login area

Our ethos has always been to keep as much of our content open access so we can share learning and best practice and stimulate conversation around emergency services wellbeing.

That is very much the case, however, with the development of the National Police Wellbeing Service (NPWS), some of our content is now either specially designed for or made relevant to policing, and therefore we have refined how we use our online platform in order to allow easier access to these resources.

We have introduced a new feature of a login area which allows users with a .police.uk email address to instantly sign up and access any of our resources that are only available to those working in policing.

This one login now gives you access to ALL of our policing specific resources which means you’ll no longer have to use different passwords for different pages of protected content!

It’s quick and easy to create an account – just click on the login button at the top of this page, fill in your details and you’re in!

  • If you have a query about our login area or eligibility for access, please contact us and we’ll do our best to help you.

MindFit Cop

We have re-designed the layout so that course content is easier to work through and created a new ‘progress’ bar so you can see exactly where you are up to in the course, and how much is left.

If you are an existing MindFit Cop user with a .police.uk account - we have migrated existing accounts over to the new site so you will not lose your progress if you were part way through the course.

Your username will be the same as it always was, but you will need to re-set your password.

This is quick and easy to do – just click on the login button at the top of this page and enter your username, you will then be prompted to re-set your password.

You can then edit your profile and choose to add your name, organisation and job title to your page.

Once this is done, you should be able to access ‘My Mindfit Cop’ from the drop-down menu under ‘My Account’.

  • If you have any issues accessing your MindFit Cop account, or, if you had set up your original account but did not use a .police.uk email address to do so, please get in touch and we will get you back up and running.

Blue Light Wellbeing Framework (BLWF)

The BLWF is a tool used at an organisational level to benchmark and assess your organisation’s current wellbeing provision.

If you are new to the BLWF, you can find out more about it here

If you are already a BLWF owner for your organisation – we have good news!

The content of the BLWF has not changed and we are working hard to migrate all existing information in your frameworks into the new website.

All registered BLWF owners / users will also have been migrated over to the new site with your assigned framework.

Your username will be the same, however, you will need to create a new password for your account when you login to the framework via the new website for the first time.

This is quick and easy to do – just click on the login button at the top of the homepage and enter your username, you will then be prompted to re-set your password.

You can then edit your profile and choose to add your name, organisation, and job title to your page.

You will then have access to your BLWF from the blue drop-down menu under ‘My Account’.

We’ve written to every framework owner with more details about accessing and using the framework – but we’ve also detailed the process here.

  • If you have any queries about how to access to your BLWF account, just contact us - we are here to help.

And finally...

If you have made it this far – well done!

We hope you enjoy using the new site and find it useful.

As always, any observations, issues, observations, or feedback - do not hesitate to get in touch.
