The Institute of Directors (IoD), the professional body which supports, represents and sets standards for business leaders, acknowledges that businesses thrive when employees thrive.
Recognising the critical role of directors and executive leaders in relation to mental health and wellbeing of employees, the IoD has teamed up with Mind for to develop resources around Mental Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace, and have made a range of information available on their website.
In March 2019, the IoD stated that: “Every business leader and employer has a responsibility to support employees with mental health problems and promote the mental wellbeing of their entire workforce.”
