What is endometriosis?
Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows in other parts of the body, usually around the pelvis. It can cause symptoms such as painful periods, pelvic pain, tiredness and difficulties getting pregnant, which can have a significant impact on daily life and wellbeing.
Line management guidance: Endometriosis
The NPCC Women’s Health Board have put together some fantastic advice for line managers around women's health issues.
This guidance is designed for first-line supervisors who are supporting a member of their team who has, or is suspected to have, endometriosis. It aims to provide an understanding of the condition, the challenges it can present in the workplace, and the practical steps supervisors can take to support colleagues effectively, compassionately and lawfully.
